Book Blurb:
Time was not the healer it was meant to be. Her heart had become a shrivelled-up organ beating inside her chest, serving no other purpose than to remind her she was still alive.
A chance encounter with a blue-eyed man brings Maya face to face with her violent past in ‘The Descent.’ ‘The Enlightenment of Rahim Baksh’ follows a day in the life of a middle-aged accountant in his quest for love. Two lives balancing on a tightrope as a man lies in a coma, his wife waiting by his hospital bedside in ‘Let Me Go.’
Twelve stories spanning two continents. Whether it is the rain-soaked streets of London or the bustling city of Dhaka, we are taken on an unexpected journey to the very heart of the protagonists. Truth or Dare is, by turns amusing, disturbing and unpredictable, but always engaging, accessible and rewarding.
