Khademul Islam was educated in Karachi, Dhaka and Boston. He was the literary editor of The Daily Star from 2003 to 2010. He is currently the editor of the literary journal Bengal Lights. His short stories and translations have appeared in various publications. He is currently working on a non-fiction book.
